Size issue - otherwise great look

I ordered this in size L, just like the blue with yellow Navy t-shirt several weeks before. This one seemed a little tight, but I wore it for a day and then washed it. Today, I wore it for the 2nd time and it seems a little smaller than the blue with yellow Navy.

It's is a really nice design but having worn it a 2nd time with a wash in between prevents me from sending it back.

Is it possible that the sizes for t-shirts made by the same manufacturer would be different for style? L isn't the same as L for a different style for the same manufacturer? I'd like to know the answer to my question.
