Shirt shrank up

We were very disappointed in this t-shirt. After washing it once before wearing, this Large shirt shrank up to a Medium. This shirt is so uncomfortable to wear now.
Every shirt we purchased shrank terribly. I thought that theses were a good quality shirt, but too small.
